May 20, 2008 – Wetland preservation was important to Talbitzer Homes, while we were developing the plans for Lacamas Meadows.
We were also committed to maintain the Lacamas Lake trail system which links many neighborhoods and scenic areas together. In this community, nature is a key element in the beauty and serenity of the area.
We were surprised by the amazing wildlife seen by our new homeowners with each changing season. The birds and animals this spring have been described as awesome and breathtaking by people living in this neighborhood. One resident mentioned that the trail system was a “…discovery zone for the kids.”
Some of the wildlife now on display at Lacamas Meadows is deer, a particular white owl, coyote, many rabbits, herring and birds. However, our most predominant visitors lately are the Canadian Geese. Their flocks in V formation have been using Lacamas as a pit stop in their journey of migration and everyone has been loving it!
Canadian Geese are widespread through this area and are famous for their life long mating. Right now, in some nearby areas, there have even been sightings of the newly born goslings following their mother. These goslings seen recently will likely be back next year since they learn their migration pattern from their parents and typically continue with that same pattern throughout their lifetime.
Lacamas Meadows has turned out more beautiful and full of life than was even imagined. This community has truly been a success in becoming a part of the area while maintaining and preserving the beauty that made it so appealing.
One of Clark County's premier homebuilder for 50 years, Talbitzer Homes (www.talbitzerhomes.com) is committed to preserving wetlands in our communities, and maintaining key features that improve the quality of life, like the Lacamas Lake Trail system. This same level of commitment is applied to our efforts to get you into the home of your dreams.
