Newport Lofts hosts Miss Universe party
LAS VEGAS, Nevada (August 9, 2008) – On July 13th beauty was prevalent on the rooftop of Newport Lofts, a new highrise community located in Downtown Las Vegas. With stunning Las Vegas city lights as the backdrop, those lucky enough to be on the highrise’s 24th floor SkyDeck were graced with the presence of past, current and future beauty pageant contestants during a private 2008 Miss Universe VIP Viewing Party.
“Our SkyDeck is where residents at Newport Lofts connect. This great space invites daily homeowner gatherings as well as private events. We were pleased to offer our space to the Miss Nevada USA and Miss Nevada Teen organization. They were looking for a unique, impressive location with a backdrop equal to the beauty of the contestants of the Miss Universe contest,” Adam Gafke, Newport Lofts sales executive, said.
In honor of the event, Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman made a proclamation designating July 13, 2008, as “Miss Universe Viewing Party Day” in fabulous Downtown Las Vegas.
In addition to enjoying wine and appetizers provided by Triple George Grill, attendees had the benefit of a first-hand glimpse of the upscale rooftop amenities at Newport Lofts while viewing the broadcast of the 2008 Miss Universe Pageant aired live from Vietnam.
“The Miss Universe VIP Viewing Party was a terrific event on the SkyDeck of Newport Lofts,” Gafke said. “In the SkyRoom, guests were able to view the pageant on our big screen TVs and take pleasure in the panoramic views of the city from its floor-to-ceiling windows.
“On the open air PoolDeck, we had people meet-and-greet a former Miss Universe and there were a host of other Miss Nevada USA and Miss Nevada Teen USA contestants and title holders on hand as well. Everyone who attended was overwhelmed by Newport Lofts and the breathtaking views,” Gafke said.
Serving as celebrity host was Paul Murad, author of “Manhattanizing Las Vegas” and president of METROPLEX Group, and celebrity guest was Justine Pasek, Miss Universe 2002.
“It was an incredible night and it was absolutely beautiful 24 stories up on the Newport Lofts’ SkyDeck overlooking the Strip. Newport Lofts is a very nice place, secure and beautiful inside. We were very happy with our first Miss Universe VIP Viewing Party at Newport Lofts," said Maureen Atwell, director of the Miss Nevada USA and Miss Nevada Teen USA Pageants.
"This event was a great opportunity to gather past, current and future Miss Nevada title holders and contestants and to introduce them to the great people of Las Vegas. ... Miss USA will be coming back to Las Vegas in 2009 for a second year and Vegas is really becoming the place to be in regard to pageantry."
The SkyDeck and SkyRoom are among the resort-style amenities available to the residents of Newport Lofts.
“Newport Lofts is the tallest residential tower in Downtown Las Vegas. Unlike other highrise communities that save the top floors for their most expensive homes, we designed our top floor for the enjoyment of all our residents. With 360-degree views of the entire Las Vegas valley we offer a running track which spans the perimeter of the deck; a state-of-the-art exercise facility with his and her locker rooms; our SkyRoom with wide screen TVs, billiards and bar; a sparkling swimming pool; and a relaxing jetted spa” Gafke said.
Residents have been equally impressed by the luxury condominium community’s customizable 168 loft-style living spaces that are generously sized from 911 to 3,052 square feet and incredibly priced from $319 per square foot.
The development is located at 200 Hoover Ave., near the intersection of Casino Center Boulevard in downtown Las Vegas.
The sales office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
