Mansfield and Bridgewater Break New Ground
Mansfield, OH, 5/3/07 City officials and local business leaders joined future residents Thursday to celebrate the ground breaking of Mansfield’s newest condominium community, Bridgewater, located on West Cook Road approximately one mile west of Trimble Road. Mayor Lydia Reid said, “I am particularly pleased that long-line Mansfield families like the Harings and Mecurios are behind this project. That fact alone made it well worth the effort to help make this development a reality. ”
Bridgewater is designed to meet the needs of active adults who want a high-quality, low-maintenance home and community amenities similar to those you would find at a resort. Once complete, Bridgewater will consist of 122 homes on 40 acres and include a 3,300 square foot clubhouse complete with a heated pool and exercise facilities, eight-acre nature preserve, walking trail, and stocked pond.
Additionally, Bridgewater is the first community in Richland County that is certified to build Energy Star rated homes. Energy Star homes must meet stringent government standards for insulation levels, heating and air conditioning specifications, and appliances. Bridgewater homes are built to exceed these standards. The Energy Star commitment will translate to an average 30 percent savings on annual utility bills for Bridgewater residents.

Construction of the Bridgewater community is already under way. “Building is well ahead of schedule, thanks to the great weather. New residents will begin moving in around the end of June and the clubhouse and models will be open by mid-July,” said Matt Mecurio, Director of Construction.
