Park Square Homes Offering Two Seminars To Teach First-Time Home Buyers How To Access $7,500 Tax Credit

ORLANDO, Fla. --- Park Square Homes will offer two seminars in August and September to teach first-time home buyers how they can take advantage of a new $7,500 federal tax credit.

The tax credit, which President Bush recently signed into law to provide assistance to first-time home buyers, is part of a massive federal program to solve the nation’s lending woes.

Mary McKaig, vice president of marketing at Park Square Homes, said the first seminar will be offered during a grand opening preview Aug. 23 at Prairie Lake Reserve, a gated town home community located off Clarke Road in Ocoee.

The “Fun Day” event, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., includes free food, refreshments and live entertainment poolside at the Prairie Lake Reserve clubhouse, along with previews of new three and four-bedroom townhome designs priced from the $130s.

McKaig said Park Square’s second tax credit seminar is scheduled Sept. 20 during the 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. preview of brand new model homes at SummerBrooke, located off U.S. 441 in Mount Dora.  The event includes free food and music at the community’s clubhouse pool along with tours of new town homes priced from the $140s;

McKaig said experts from Lincoln Mortgage Corp. will start the first time home buyer seminars at noon and 2 p.m. at each community event.

“The tax credit for first-time home buyers is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for young families,” said McKaig. “Interest rates are still at historic lows and new home prices are not likely to go any lower,” McKaig said.
