FHA and VA Financing Available at MLV

FHA AND VA FINANCING AVAILABLE AT MCMILLIN LOMAS VERDES

Six neighborhoods within McMillin Lomas Verdes in Chula Vista are now offering both FHA and VA financing in order to move more families into new homes.

"With the recent increase in mortgages provided by the federal government, the opportunity to qualify for an FHA or VA loan could be very cost-effective for home buyers looking to settle down at McMillin Lomas Verdes," said Pattie Walker, sales vice president for McMillin Homes.

An FHA-insured mortgage gives homeowners more purchasing power by lowering their down payments, explained Walker.

"The higher FHA loan limits are only available until the end of this year so buyers need to move quickly," she added. "Besides being a loan from the federal government, an FHA loan means that the builder is able to apply a monetary incentive toward the buyer's deposit, buy down the interest rate or pay closing costs."

FHA is one of the only loans that allows the seller to give buyers down payment funds through Nehemiah or Ameridream -- prospective buyers should call their favorite community for more specific details, added Vanessa Linn, vice president of sales and marketing at Shea Homes.

In addition, all neighborhoods within McMillin Lomas Verdes offer VA financing for veterans, which allows for 100 percent financing.

Neighborhoods currently selling at McMillin Lomas Verdes include Treviana, Mosaic, Tapestry, Jacaranda, Terracotta and Indigo.

Boasting up to four bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, and a den or a loft in each floor plan, Cornerstone Communities' Treviana neighborhood offers two- and three-story townhouses ranging from 1,245 to 1,820 square feet in four distinct floor plans. Prices start in the low $300,000s.

Mosaic by Shea Homes offers six different floor plans, ranging from 1,175 to 1,605 square feet. The three-story condominiums feature two to three bedrooms and two to three baths. Prices start in the high 200,00s.

Tapestry, also by Shea Homes, is made up of detached tri-level homes ranging from 1,822 to 2,253 square feet and providing three to four bedrooms and 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 bathrooms. Priced in the low $400,000s, these homes include a two-car garage.

Tapestry and Mosaic boast their own private recreation center, resort-style pool, Jacuzzi, multi-purpose room, fitness center and outdoor barbecue area.

Terracotta boasts two-story, single-family homes in a creative courtyard design, ranging in size from approximately 1,577 to 2,010 square feet, with three to five bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and two-car garages. Prices start from the $470,000s.

Jacaranda offers two-story single-family homes with three to five bedrooms and 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 baths, from 1,935 to 2,447 square feet. Prices start from the $510,000s.

Indigo homes, the largest on the market at McMillin Lomas Verdes, range from approximately 2,259 to 2,984 square feet. The residences provide three to six bedrooms, 2 1/2 to four baths and two- or three-car garages. Prices begin from the $550,000s.

McMillin Lomas Verdes is made up of over 100 acres of parks and recreational areas, complete with trails and pathways perfect for running and walking, all of which accent its six beautiful parks.

In addition to providing options for outdoor activities, residents can send their children to top-notch schools directly within the community.
