Irvine, California Former Senior Director of ULI Orange
County/Inland Empire, Kendra L. Chandler, has been named as the organization’s
Executive Director. Ms. Chandler began working with ULI Orange County/Inland
Empire in 2006, first as Manager of Programs & Development. After a two-year
hiatus, she returned to ULI as Senior Director in 2015. In her new role as
Executive Director of the local District Council, Ms. Chandler will carry out
Urban Land Institute’s mission of nonprofit research and education in land use
and real estate development guidelines in private enterprise and public service
within Orange County and in the Inland Empire. A multidisciplinary real estate forum,
ULI facilitates an open exchange of ideas, information, and experience among
industry leaders and policy makers dedicated to creating better places.
Kendra Chandler
has been instrumental in creating, managing and directing a wide array of ULI
events directly connected to local land development leadership, innovation,
sponsorship and more. She has extensive experience in working with ULI district
councils nationwide. In addition to her work with ULI, Ms. Chandler served for
six years as the Director of Events and Marketing for the Building Industry
Association, Orange County Chapter, managing all aspects of major events and
meetings including finance, membership, sponsorship, chapter staffing and
volunteers.
In addition to her
nonprofit work, Ms. Chandler worked along side firm leadership for Lifescapes
International, Inc., managing business development and marketing for the firm.
A seasoned veteran of event planning, she also served as Tournament &
Banquet Sales Director for Strawberry Farms Golf Club. She worked as a Project
Manager for Monarch Services, and as an Account Executive at The Vacation Channel
in Branson, MO. She earned her Bachelor of Arts, Media Arts degree from the
University of Arizona in Tucson.
In her personal
life, Ms. Chandler and her daughters, are members of the National Charity
League Orange/Villa Park Chapter where she also serves on the Executive Board. Ms.
Chandler attributes her ongoing success to the support, mentoring and
professional guidance she received from the women with whom she has worked over
the years. She is a true So Cal native, and attended Orange Unified Schools
where her daughters are now attending. Kendra and her husband, Jeff, have been
married for 20 years and reside in the city of Orange.
