French Brothers Homes uses its quality construction and customer service to provide a “wow” experience from start to finish. Recently, the builder was recognized for this commitment to customer-focused quality management when it was awarded a Bronze National Housing Quality Award® (NHQA). The NHQ Awards, sponsored by Professional Builder magazine and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) – Research Center, are the highest recognition in the housing industry for quality achievement. French Brothers becomes the first home builder in New Mexico to ever win a NHQA.

 

“Our goal is to always learn and grow. To do that, we have to communicate with our customers,” said Tom French. “We are excited to know that we are on the right track by winning a Bronze NHQA, and we look forward to taking the recommendations we have received and becoming a stronger company in 2014.”

 

A NHQA is more than just an award, as it provides a guide for continued improvement throughout the year. To receive a NHQA, a company must first submit an application. From there, finalists are chosen that will receive an in-person visit from NHQA examiners. Awards are then given in four categories: Gold, Silver, Bronze and Honorable Mention. “Based on the examiners’ recommendations, it is our goal to meet those improvements and receive a Gold award,” added Tom.

 

Owned by Tom, his brother Jim French and Corrine Bachman, French Brothers started as a custom home builder that recognized a need for quality and affordable housing in Alamogordo and Roswell, N.M. In order to provide buyers with affordable options, French Brothers offers base plans with a wide-variety of upgrades.  

 

“Every year we review our list of possible upgrades. As the housing market and economy have strengthened, we have increased the number of options in our base plans. For example, in the last few years, we have added crown molding, tall baseboards and granite countertops to create the refined look that many buyers seek,” stated Bachman.

 

In addition to quality homes and upgrades, every home built by French Brothers Homes comes standard with its Platinum Energy Package. On average, this package is 37-percent more efficient than ENERGY STAR.

 

French Brothers currently builds new homes in five communities throughout Alamogordo and three in Roswell with prices from the mid-$150,000s to high-$200,000s. It is the only home builder to offer model homes in these locations, with the Alamogordo home located in the Bristol Park community at 212 Burnage Lane and the Roswell model located in the Sorrento community at 1205 Sorrento Drive.

 

Additionally, with the Holloman Air Force Base located in Alamogordo, the French Brothers offer quick move-in opportunities for military. Because of its easy home buying process, French Brothers provides more new homes for military members than any other builder in town. In fact, 40 percent of its total sales in Alamogordo consist of these military transactions.

 

Soon, the home builder will announce a new Alamogordo community and is looking to expand its offerings to a new market in 2014.
