M/I Homes Charlotte Introduces The Power of 8

National builder M/I Homes heats up the home buying stakes when they begin a new program on August 8 called “Power of 8”. The program presents a combination of offers and incentives that, whether pooled with the current government tax credit or not, creates an exceptional opportunity for all home buyers.

With interest rates on home mortgages remaining historically low and prices seeming to have bottomed out in all segments of the market, the environment is already prime for buying. The government’s first-time-buyer credit, which probably will not be extended past November, adds to the current ideal buying atmosphere.

M/I’s new “Power of 8” program includes two additional incentives in addition to the first time buyer’s $8,000 tax credit: $8,000 in free designer options plus $8,000 in ‘Flex Funds’ (cash the buyer can use on more options, reducing closing costs, etc) .

For first time buyers, the incentives can total up to $24,000. Buyers who currently own homes can still qualify for incentives of up to $16,000 in savings.

“We are excited to offer the Power of 8 and its powerful savings,” says Mike McElroy, President of M/I Homes Charlotte Division,  “At the end of the day, we are in the business of providing people with the best home for the money and this promotion makes it possible for more people to purchase the home of their dreams.”

Founded in 1976 by cousins Mel and Irving Schottenstein, M/I Homes builds quality family homes in nine states and has been recognized by J.D Power and Associates for its adherence to the highest standards of owner satisfaction. The company is registered on the New York Stock Exchange (MHO).
