Signature Union City Condominium Building Taking Shape

Tuesday, July 07, 2009 / New Homes - Rocha Construction and Development

UNION CITY, N.J. -- On-going construction of the interior elements and physical amenities is giving shape to Altessa, the signature 15-story condominium building rising on the highest point in Hudson County’s Union City.

The fast development progress in the early summer months has enabled visitors to see the true dimensions of this elegant residential building and translated to an impressive sales start with nearly 20% of its elegant one-, two- and three-bedroom homes already reserved, according to Rocha Construction and Development, which is developing the collection of 100 lavish condominiums and resort-inspired amenities at 809 22nd Street

With the exterior façade almost finished, work on the inside of the building has accelerated, reports Joe DiMare, of Patina Realty, LLC, Altessa’s marketing and exclusive sales agent.  The incredible landscaped rooftop recreational space is nearing completion, the finishing touches are being applied to the condominiums on floors 8 through 15 and the building’s lobby is now well underway.

"Construction on many of the homes is progressing quickly -- including a sensational fully-furnished two-bedroom, two-bath model home which vividly illustrates the spectacular panoramic views and elegant interiors and upscale amenities and features," Mr. DiMare adds.  “What’s more, the centerpiece of our building amenities, the rooftop pool, is completely installed and its surrounding sky deck is more than half finished.  The sheet rock is also completed in our lobby.

“As a result, visitors are able to not only see the homes under construction but experience first-hand the unparalleled setting of the community and the extraordinary lifestyle offered here.”

Initial occupancy for the upscale Altessa building is expected this fall.  Altessa features condominium homes ranging in size from 812 to over 1,400 square-feet of living space and priced from $310,000.

Residences will be distinguished by the latest in architectural trends, with interiors featuring an array of contemporary finishes such as designer baths and kitchens, stainless steel appliances, shaker design cabinets, granite countertops, washer and dryer, hardwood flooring and Kohler fixtures.  Some of the homes will also offer outdoor patios.  Each home will be afforded an on-site secured indoor parking space.

Incredible views can be had in every home,” notes Mr. DiMare.  “Residences facing north will enjoy uptown Manhattan and the George Washington Bridge, while homes looking south with boast vistas of downtown New York City and the Verrazano Bridge.  Western facing exposures include appealing views of the Meadowlands and its natural preservation areas.”

The homes are being made even more attractive thanks to a five-year tax abatement which has been granted and eases buyers into their tax payments over a six-year period.  The building is also expected to be approved by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) which will make buyers eligible for friendly FHA financing packages that require only a 3.5% downpayment.

The private amenities at Altessa have been designed to maximize its unique location. The dramatic rooftop recreational space will overlook the New York City skyline and feature an elevated outdoor pool and running track.  In addition to the rooftop space, homeowners can take advantage of a residents’-only gym and lounge with a flat-screen TV and pool table.

“Homeowners at Altessa will be welcomed by a magnificent lobby staffed doorman,” says Mr. DiMare.  “We will also provide a free shuttle service to the Hoboken PATH Station.”

In addition to its affordable pricing, magnificent homes and exciting amenities, residents will also appreciate Altessa’s convenient location just three miles from New York City between the Holland and Lincoln Tunnels and close to mass transportation and major thoroughfares which provides easy access to the business epicenters in mid and downtown Manhattan, New Jersey’s Hudson River ‘Gold Coast’ and Bergen, Essex and Passaic Counties.  An abundance of shopping, restaurants and nightlife can be found just minutes away in Union City, Secaucus, Hoboken and downtown Jersey City.

The fully-furnished model home at Altessa will be situated on the 15th floor of the magnificent building.  For additional information on Altessa or to schedule a private tour of the building, please calling (201) 239-0254 or visit www.altessanj.com.
