Greenbriar Oceanaire Debuts New Onsite Restaurant

WARETOWN, N.J. – The Grille Room at Oceanaire recently opened its doors and it’s already considered the place to be among the residents at Greenbriar Oceanaire, the award-winning active-adult community located in Waretown, N.J., just north of Long Beach Island.

Located inside the community’s magnificent 38,000-square-foot clubhouse, the private restaurant boasts a casually elegant atmosphere that’s enhanced by an outstanding menu which features a mouth-watering array of eclectic cuisine, according to Lennar, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders and the developer of Greenbriar Oceanaire.

“The restaurant grand opened just over two weeks ago and we’ve received an overwhelmingly positive response from residents, their friends and family members,” says Pete O’Grandy, Owner and Operator of the The Grille Room at Oceanaire. “In fact, we had an exceptional turn-out on Easter Sunday with more than 330 guests served throughout the day and we anticipate Mother’s Day to be just as busy.”

The Grille Room at Oceanaire is open Tuesday through Sunday for lunch and dinner and offers a variety of dining options including pasta, beef, chicken, veal and seafood.  Weekly specials at the restaurant include a prime rib dinner every Friday evening and Saturday’s romantic candlelight dinner.  Each Sunday, The Grille Room is open for brunch from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and features a variety of breakfast favorites in addition to carving stations and lunch dishes.

“The Grille Room at Oceanaire is a unique addition to the resort-inspired lifestyle offered at Greenbriar Oceanaire,” notes Don Bompensa, President of Lennar’s New Jersey Division.  “We already had one of the most comprehensive amenity offerings in the state, yet we  managed to find a new way to enhance our country club setting with an exciting new dining destination.”

Home to The Grille Room at Oceanaire -- which boasts over 3,000 square feet of dining space -- and the cornerstone of the resort-like lifestyle is the community’s magnificent 38,000-square-foot clubhouse.

Winner of the New Jersey Builders Association’s “Best Clubhouse” award in 2005, the magnificent clubhouse offers year-round entertainment with its indoor and outdoor pools, tennis and boccie courts, a fully equipped fitness center/spa, game rooms, library, computer and craft rooms and a grand ballroom.

Residents also enjoy an incomparable Arthur Hills-designed, 18-hole championship golf course that is located completely within the community and challenges players on all levels.

Greenbriar Oceanaire features 1,400 single-family homes -- approximately 400 of which remain available for sale -- on 888 rolling acres in Ocean County. The community’s luxurious housing layouts feature seven ranch-home designs priced from the $300,000’s, with some homes including lofts.  Found throughout the homes are upscale interior appointments including dramatic vaulted, sloped or step ceilings; oversized windows and ceramic tile floors. Kitchens include GE Profile stainless steel appliances, breakfast nooks and silestone countertops; while sumptuous master baths feature Roman-style soaking tubs, separate shower stalls, double vanity sinks and decorator vanity cabinets.

For more information on Greenbriar Oceanaire, please call the community’s Welcome Home Center at 866-203-6475,  or visit Lennar’s website at
