EASTVALE, CA October is the American Humane Association’s Adopt-A-Dog Month, and Shea Homes is supporting that cause by hosting a special “Knick Knack Paddy Whack Give A Dog A Home” event this Sunday (October 23) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Avonlea in Eastvale. Everyone is invited for a fun-filled day featuring performing collies and onsite adoptions from Miracle Animal Rescue Center. In addition, Original Tommy’s will be serving their World-Famous Hamburgers from their new Shack on Wheels™. Representatives from PetSmart will be on hand to answer questions from current and potential pet owners and give out discount coupons.

Miracle Animal Rescue Center has placed more than 200 dogs in good homes this year, and the organization is far from reaching its goal,” stated Janet Benavidez, vice president of sales and marketing for Shea Homes Southern California. “That’s why we’re encouraging people to adopt a shelter dog that needs a loving home. Whether you’re looking for an exercise buddy, a best friend for you and your child, a constant companion for a senior citizen or a fuzzy face to greet you after a long day at work, there’s a good chance that you will find the right match for you at our Give A Dog A Home event.”

Benavidez added that because there will be a large number of dogs participating in the event, it would be best if those attending who are already pet owners leave their pets at home.

“Knick Knack Paddy Whack Give a Dog a Home” coincides with the final weekend of Shea Homes’ “Not All Value Is Created Equal” sale, which features savings of up to $67,000 on select homes*.

At Avonlea, the savings are available through October 23 at three distinctive neighborhoods, Newbridge, Carmody and SPACES.

Newbridge delivers the perfect combination of style, spaciousness and value. One- and two-story designs measure up to approximately 2,515 square feet with as many as six bedrooms and three baths plus a den, study or hobby room and a three-car garage. Homes at Newbridge are priced from the mid $300,000s.

Carmody's family-sized homes offer flexible choices to meet the varying needs of individual households. One- and two-story floor plans span approximately 2,938 to 3,551 square feet with up to five bedrooms, three and one-half baths and three- or four-car garages. Popular options such as a home office, master suite retreat, bonus room and super great room are featured. Prices start in the low $400,000s.

Both Carmody and Newbridge showcase an array of sought-after appointments, including granite kitchen countertops in a choice of six colors, built-in stainless steel appliances, maple cabinets and front-yard landscaping.

SPACES is a whole new concept in home design...modern single-story residences with flexible interior spaces to fit today's lifestyles. Ranging from approximately 1,462 to 2,050 square feet with up to five sleep spaces, two splash spaces and two to three park spaces, their style is “cool” in a way

that appeals to a new generation of home buyers. Plus they’re energy-efficient, and they’re affordable, starting in the high $200,000s.

Value-added features at SPACES are led by Euro-style cabinets in five color choices, a 42” flat-screen TV in every home, SOLATUBE® skylights, tankless water heater and electric vehicle charging.

Ideally located for commuting to both Riverside and Orange Counties, Avonlea rewards families with an abundance of recreational amenities within minutes of their homes. The 2,000-acre Prado Regional Park offers activities ranging from fishing, horseback riding and camping to hiking, picnicking, golf and shooting. Sports enthusiasts will also enjoy the park’s softball and soccer fields, archery range and horseshoe pits.

Education is just as convenient as recreation, with three brand-new schools located just a short distance from Avonlea. They include Clara Barton Elementary, River Heights Intermediate School and Eleanor Roosevelt High School, and all offer state-of-the-art classrooms and the educational excellence of the Corona-Norco Unified School District.

To give a dog a home at Shea Homes’ Avonlea event, exit the Chino Valley Freeway (71) at Euclid Avenue and drive north. Turn right on Pine Avenue and continue to Hellman Avenue and turn right. Turn left on Aldergate Drive and follow the signs to Avonlea on the right. Models at Newbridge, Carmody and SPACES are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except Wednesdays, when hours are from 2 to 6 p.m. Additional information is available by calling Newbridge and Carmody at 951-549-3549 or SPACES at 951-340-1283 or visiting
