Spanning nearly 3,000 square feet, Plan 1 at Shea Homes' Carmody at Avonlea in Corona turned out to be a perfect fit for Bill and Debra Gramlick and their 10 grandchildren.


Newly retired and nearing their 60s, the Gramlicks insisted on finding a single-story home. It took them three years, but at their son's suggestion, they finally found Plan 1 at Carmody, and even though it has a second-floor loft, the extra space turned out to be just what they needed.


“One of our favorite rooms is the loft,” Debra explained. “When our grandkids are visiting, it's a great place to keep them occupied. There's a big-screen TV, a Wii game system and a huge set of Legos that they love to play with.
