HOMEAID SAN DIEGO'S 'HOMES FORE THE HOMELESS'

Tuesday, August 11, 2009 / HOMEAID SAN DIEGO

HomeAid San Diego's annual “Homes Fore the Homeless” golf tournament  will tee off on Tuesday, September 29th, at Maderas Golf Club in Poway. The day's activities will include a putting contest at 11:30 a.m., an entire afternoon of golf and a reception and auction beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Golfers may enter the tournament as a foursome for $700 or as a single player for $175. Both of those packages include driving range, golf cart, lunch, beverages, snacks and the evening reception. Non golfers may attend the reception only for $75. Proceeds from the event will support HomeAid San Diego's efforts to provide homes for temporarily homeless individuals and families in San Diego County by building and renovating multi-unit housing where they will have an opportunity to live and rebuild their lives.

“Each year, our 'Homes Fore the Homeless' tournament draws an enthusiastic field of golfers and guests,” stated Rachel Collins, board president of HomeAid San Diego. “We and the deserving people we serve are grateful for this generous outpouring of support, and we look forward to our most successful tournament ever on Tuesday, September 29th.”

Major sponsors for this year's “Homes Fore the Homeless” tournament are Union Bank of California, NAIOP San Diego Chapter, CB Richard Ellis and Newland Communities. Additional sponsors include Vector Resources Inc., McParlane & Associates, Inc., Good & Roberts, Inc.; Prudential California and Cavignac & Associates.
