San Elijo Hills Starts Construction on Mixed-Use Center

In the Community’s Award-Winning Towncenter

San Elijo Hills Development Company has commenced construction on a 32,000-square-foot mixed-use center that will feature retailers, eateries, a day care center and residences. Located in the heart of the community, within the 70-acre San Elijo Hills Towncenter, the mixed-use center is projected to open next year.

Last month, the community welcomed a 50,000-square-foot Albertsons with an in-house Sav-on Pharmacy to the towncenter.

“This begins the last phase of development in the award-winning towncenter,” says Curt Noland, general manager of San Elijo Hills. “The towncenter already includes two urban-style townhome neighborhoods, a 30-acre educational campus that includes an elementary and middle school, and a 19-acre park with a community center, and a block square village green.”

The San Elijo Hills Towncenter has received numerous awards, including a Gold Nugget Grand Award in the “Community/Town Plan” category at the Pacific Coast Builders Conference and the community was awarded the Gold Award in the “Master-Planned Community of the Year” category at The Nationals, an annual competition sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB).

When complete, the 1,920-acre community is planned for 3,400 attached and detached homes in 31 neighborhoods.  Its location, surrounding the highest point in Coastal North County, affords panoramic ocean views that stretch from Dana Point to Mexico, as well as picturesque back country views.  More than half of the property has been designated as protected open space and 18 miles of trails wind through the community.

San Elijo Hills is now offering single-family homes in four beautiful neighborhoods.

California Cove is offering Symphony and Masterpiece with six models within a gated enclave located on one of the highest points in San Elijo Hills. Masterpiece features estate-size homes ranging from 4,993 to 6,007 square feet with four to five bedrooms and 4½ to 6½ baths.  Prices start in the $1.7 million range.  Symphony feature two-story homes with 4,194 to 5,025 square feet, four to five bedrooms and 4½ to 5½ baths.  Symphony homes start in the $1.2 million range.

Richmond American Homes is showcasing its third and fourth neighborhoods in San Elijo Hills.  Luminara features three two-story floorplans, ranging from 2,478 to 2,708, with three to four bedrooms and 2½ to 3½ baths.  Prices range from the mid-$500,000s.

Atherton features three stylish two-story floor plans ranging from 3,386 to 3,741 square feet with four to six bedrooms and up to 4½ baths. Atherton homes are priced from the mid-$600,000s.

The San Elijo Hills Visitor Center, which is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., is located at 1215 San Elijo Road, San Marcos.  For more information on San Elijo Hills, visit www.sanelijohills.com or call toll-free (888) SAN-ELIJO (726-3545).
