The public is invited to a free Adopt-A-Dog and Fundraising
Faire – featuring adoptable dogs from the Helen Woodward Animal Center – on
Saturday, Sept. 30 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Element and Z at Millenia in Chula
Vista.
Reduced adoption fees will be sponsored by homebuilder Shea
Homes San Diego to qualified potential adopters who initiate the paperwork for
a dog showcased at the Sept. 30 event. Officials from Helen Woodward will be on
hand to greet visitors and answer questions about the adoption process.
Located at 1842 Observation Way off Eastlake Parkway in the
new master-planned community of Millenia, Shea Homes is now selling new homes
in Chula Vista at Element and Z, where striking vertical architecture
complements spacious, open floor plans.
“We are delighted to welcome adoptable
dogs from the Helen Woodward Animal Center on Sept. 30 during our Adopt-A-Dog
and Fundraising Faire,” said Vanessa Linn, vice president of sales and
marketing for Shea Homes San Diego, who noted that there is a private grass dog
park contiguous to Element and Z.
The free event on Sept. 30 will also
include refreshments, home tours, and an exhibition of training techniques and
pet tricks by San Diego Pet Training. Visitors are also invited to contribute
to the ongoing rescue efforts of Helen Woodward Animal Center, which helps more
than 3,000 orphan animals become beloved pets every year.
