NEWPORT BEACH, CA – Expanding its continued commitment to supporting charitable organizations, Newport Beach-based Kovach Marketing has created a multifaceted communications program for HomeAid San Diego, which partners with the real estate industry and other nonprofits to build and renovate multi-unit housing for temporarily homeless individuals and families in San Diego County.

Each year, HomeAid San Diego hosts several community events to raise funds and awareness for its cause. Among them are the “Taste of North County” and the “Homes Fore the Homeless” golf tournament. Kovach Marketing reviewed each promotion and developed a comprehensive campaign that communicated HomeAid's overall mission while allowing the personality of each individual event to shine. The new design utilized color, fonts, photography and white space to create a clean and uniform look. Elements included a save-the-date email, event flyer for registration, newspaper advertising and public relations outreach.

“Kovach's expertise in assisting nonprofit organizations helped make this year's events more successful than ever,” stated Alexis Parker, executive director of HomeAid San Diego. “In addition to exceeding our fundraising goals, their PR capabilities enabled us to spread the word about HomeAid and the important projects we build for the San Diego community. We are exceedingly grateful for Kovach's knowledge and generosity.”

“A successful fundraising campaign begins with need and knowing what motivates donors,” commented Dana Lee Kovach, president of Kovach Marketing. “We are delighted to partner with HomeAid San Diego and provide them with targeted communications that have produced significant results.”

HomeAid San Diego, one of 22 chapters of HomeAid America, Inc., was founded in March 2002 with the support of local building and real estate industry organizations. HomeAid San Diego has proudly completed 8 projects that house high school foster youth, foster youth who have transitioned out of the foster care system, abused women and their children, veterans, women over 50, seniors, and abused and neglected children. Founded in 1989, HomeAid is the nation’s largest provider of housing for the temporarily homeless. Through the generosity of America’s builders, their trade partners, financial institutions and private and public donors, HomeAid has built more than 175 shelter facilities around the country, with an additional 52 projects in development. These projects total nearly 1,000,000 square feet of space representing more than $130 million in project construction costs, of which $77.4 million has been donated by the building industry. To date, more than 100,000 people have received shelter and services in HomeAid-built facilities.

Kovach Marketing's partnership with HomeAid San Diego continues the agency's extensive involvement in the San Diego business community. Kovach's local clients also include Shea Homes San Diego and MONTAGNA at CIELO. In addition, the agency has completed award-winning marketing programs for Lennar Communities' The Lakes above Rancho Santa Fe, the master-planned community of Santaluz and The Crosby, and the luxurious cottages and villas of Hotel del Coronado and La Costa Resort.
