John P. Previti Memorial Foundation Donates To Brighten Holiday Season
Wednesday, December 06, 2017
/ John P. Previti Memorial Foundation
Understanding the holiday season can be especially challenging for struggling families, the
John P. Previti Memorial Foundation
is supporting two youth-oriented nonprofit organizations this year. The Foundation's philanthropic efforts aim to make an immediate and positive impact on young people locally and throughout Southern California.
"The two charities we've selected to receive donations from the Foundation include Santa Claus of the Chaffey District and Operation Safehouse in Riverside," said Christina Previti, Board Member of the John P. Previti Memorial Foundation. "These nonprofit organizations share in our vision and passion for improving the quality of life of local families and children in need, and we are honored to be able to offer some meaningful assistance."
The
Santa Claus of the Chaffey District, Inc.
has been awarded a $5,000 donation to help with Gift Distribution that provides struggling families with special treatment and a Santa Claus experience so deserved at Christmastime. Founded in 1955, Santa Claus of Chaffey District, Inc. is a community based, registered nonprofit organization serving needy families in the Inland Empire area of Southern California. Each year, they provide an "anonymous" Santa Claus experience for 4,000-5,000 children who might not otherwise have a Christmas.
The donation of $5,000 to
Operation SafeHouse
Emergency Shelter in Riverside will supplement general operating assistance that serves 350 runaway, homeless and at-risk youths and 145 families annually. Support from the community and donations such as the Foundation not only provides emergency shelter, but intervention and outreach services to youths in crisis.
Since 2009, the
John P. Previti Memorial Foundation
and Frontier Communities have donated more than $2 million to area non-profit organizations and charities, as well as built and rehabilitated more than 5,000 distressed and foreclosed homes transforming them into beautifully-
restored, owner-occupied homes for families and first-time buyers.
The John P. Previti Memorial Foundation is a
non-profit organization
with deep roots in the local community and dedicated to improving the quality of life of at-risk youth through programs of education, advocacy and recovery. By supporting and inspiring people to overcome adversity and teaming with local charities, the foundation strives to make a real, lasting impact to the health and vitality of communities.
